How BizAxcess counts client companies
BizAxcess reads the business name straight off each statement you upload — no setup needed. The first time a company appears it takes one slot on your plan; every later statement for that same company — any bank, any account, any month — is free of extra slots. Names are matched case-insensitively, so "Acme LLC" and "ACME LLC" count as one. You can rename the company before converting, and see or remove companies any time in Account → Businesses.

How to set up your own API key
Using your own key means you get the provider's raw rates, their free tier, and full control of your spend cap. It takes about three minutes. Steps for Google AI Studio:
- 1Sign in at aistudio.google.com with your Google account.
- 2Open “Get API key” and create a key in a new or existing project.
- 3Copy the key (starts with AIza…) and paste it into Account → API key in BizAxcess.
- 4Optional: set a monthly spend cap in Google Cloud Billing for that project.

Keeping your key safe
- Your key is stored against your account and only ever used on our server — it is never shown in the browser or shared with anyone else.
- Create a key that is used only for BizAxcess so you can revoke it without breaking anything else.
- Set a monthly spend limit with your provider — that is your hard ceiling, whatever happens.
